University Lecturer in Finance at the Judge Business School of the University of Cambridge since September 2007. Peter Szilagyi is a finance PhD student at Tilburg University in the Netherlands. He completed masters degrees in applied finance, and international relations and economics at the University of Western Sydney and Corvinus University of Budapest, respectively. During this period he continued to work with the BBC World Service as a translator/presenter and later as a freelance stringer responsible for the Asia-Pacific region.

Peter has published several refereed journal articles in international journals as well as chapters in books, published conference proceedings and published working papers. His articles have appeared in the International Journal of the Economics of Business, the Journal of Corporate Citizenship and the International Finance Review. He has co-authored and -edited a book on European fixed income markets, published by John Wiley & Sons, and has a forthcoming volume on Japanese fixed income markets, published by Elsevier Science. Peter has presented papers at international conferences including the INFINITI Conference, the Global Financial Conference and the Financial Management Association Conference (Asian meeting).
